Registration with council
Is your pool or spa registered with council under the new laws introduced on 1st. December 2019
- On 1 December 2019, the State Government introduced laws to improve swimming pool and spa safety.
- Registration of all pools & Spas was required in the new system by 1 November 2020.
- Existing pools & Spas were not automatically included.
- If you did not receive a registration confirmation letter from council then your pool/spa is unlikely to be registered and you need to contact your council.
- The confirmation of registration letter sent to owners by council also contains:
- The deemed construction date of your pool / Spa
- The applicable Australian Standard to be used for your pool / Spa
- The date you are required to lodge the first certificate of compliance
- The above information is required to carry out your inspection
